IEEE Computer Society Bangalore Chapter invites NOMINATIONS for IEEE CS Bangalore Awards 2022. It is OPEN to IEEE CS Bangalore members residing and working in India.
The Award will recognize individuals / teams who have made a significant contribution in the field of interest of IEEE Computer Society; either through volunteering; teaching; research; or technology innovation.
The SIX award categories are as follows:
IEEE Computer Society Bangalore – Outstanding Student Volunteer of the Year 2022
IEEE Computer Society Bangalore – Outstanding Student Branch Chapter of the year 2022
IEEE Computer Society Bangalore – Outstanding Volunteer of the year 2022
IEEE Computer Society Bangalore – Teaching Excellence Award 2022
IEEE Computer Society Bangalore – Research Excellence Award 2022
IEEE Computer Society Bangalore – Technologist of the year 2022
SCOPE
The scope of the awards is to recognize seminal contributions by an individual or a team – who – in the opinion of the jury, has made outstanding contributions to IEEE Computer Society Bangalore Chapter, or in a field of interest to IEEE Computer Society. The contributions should be of extraordinary depth and influence; with perceivable positive impact on humanity at large.
APPLICATION MODE
NOMINATIONS can be submitted, either by SELF or can be REFERRED by a nominator.
In case of REFERRAL, any individual having an active IEEE membership can nominate the deserving individual/team/organization for these awards. However, one individual should nominate only one individual/team in any particular category.

All nominations must be filled and submitted online.
ELIGIBILITY
The award is open to ONLY IEEE Computer Society Bangalore members for the year 2022
For award category 1, the nominee MUST be an IEEE CS Bangalore Student Member
For award category 2, the nominee MUST be an IEEE CS Bangalore Student Branch Chapter
For award categories 3/4/5, the nominee MUST be an IEEE CS Bangalore Member
For award category 6, the nominee MUST be an IEEE CS Bangalore Member from Industry
The nominee should have been residing/working in India for the last 5 years; and the contributions being cited should have been performed in India.
IMPORTANT DEADLINES:
Award Nomination Due: October 22, 2022
Winner Notification: November 05, 2022
Award Felicitation: IEEE Bangalore Computer Science Week – ICDDS Conference (Dec 3rd, 2022)
TERMS and CONDITIONS
The award winners will be selected by a jury only, and the decision of the jury shall be FINAL.
The jury will recommend only ONE award in each category.
The jury can recommend a non-award in any category, if NO suitable candidate is found from among the nominations for that respective award category.
